What genre do you write in and why?
I was asked to write about my life in the trucking industry. My first book. Decided to try my hand at fiction. I love science fiction and fantasy. The poetry just happens, don't know where that comes from.

Who or what inspires you to write?
Good question, wish I could answer it.

Who is your favorite author? Do you have a favorite book and/or poem?
I have many favorite books. Tolkien, Asimov, McCaffery, Heinlein, Herbert. I could go on.

Can you tell us a bit about your writing process?
My Autobiography was dictated into a smartphone through a bluetooth as I drove a tractor trailer around the country. My first computer. Poetry come in it's own good time. Sometimes in the middle of the night, if I don't get up and write it down it will be gone by morning. The fictional series I'm writing grew from a short story. Just wanted to see if I could do it.

What's a fun fact about you?
I only finished the 9th grade

Describe your art
My books are both fictional and nonfictional. I write poetry that reflects my own personal experience, life, and stories based on actual events. Most of the wood I work with comes from trees on my land. I mill them with a chainsaw.

Who or what inspires you?
Any number of things can set a project in motion. Mother Earth and Father Sky, a casual remark. The whisper of the wind in the trees. Even Dreams.

What is your favorite medium to work with?
wood

What's a fun fact about you?

Add anything else you want us to include here
I'm a happily married, retired trucker. Every day I wake up is a good day, even though they sometimes go downhill fast. Happiness is a choice we make, knowledge is a gift we take. I live to be better tomorrow than I was today.
