What made you want to become a baker?
My love of baking began at the age of 10 when my mom allowed me to use her kitchen to bake cakes for our family. Mom always baked our birthday cakes, and she or Dad would decorate them. Both my grandmothers also enjoyed baking.
Who or what inspires you?
God's handiwork in nature inspires me most. I am amazed at the intricacies in live flowers. My parents and my paternal grandmother also inspire me with their own artwork. Dad even taught art for a few years on the college level. I enjoy displaying some of their paintings in my home.
What is your favorite meal?
My favorite meal is my mom's turnip greens and fried cornbread.
What's a fun fact about you?
I am a grandmother to 10, and I am a children's leader at Bible Study Fellowship in Huntsville.
