Describe your art:
My passion is creating art quilts using multitudes of different print fabrics. I also make mixed media cards and art pieces, textile items, recycled embroidered tulle denim jackets
Who or what inspires you?
I am very inspired by color, texture and nature. I am so drawn to cool colors- blues, purples and green and use them often in my work. The nature in our area inspires me and often finds its way into my work- turtles sunning on a log; wildflowers growing by the edge of the lake; the mountains in the distance.
What is your favorite medium to work with?
Definitely fiber! I have been seeing for over 50 years and quilting since 1977.
What's a fun fact about you?
I once had a quilt displayed at Disneyland in California for a few months and received an autographed thank you photo from Mickey Mouse.
Diane has been married to her high school sweetheart, Ed, for 54 years, has two married children and three beautiful granddaughters.
