In my current reality, identity and painting work in tandem. Self-portraits are the majority of my subject matter, which has been a form of indulgence. The stereotypes surrounding ethnic femininity have long limited the emergence and expression of many. My paintings and choreography work to dismantle these limits, through experimentation and the avant garde. Each portrait and choreographic piece is a projection of myself, each set in an ambiguous, tender, and sensual reality.

Who or what inspires you?
My work centers around the weird, avant garde, and eclectic. I love to combine aspects of soft femininity with nuances of edge. I am inspired by that balance, which I explore in my artwork.
